I talked to Trent, Casey, Ryan, Isaac, Jay, and Red. However due to my schoolwork, most of them contacted me first. I carried on some good conversations with Casey/Trent, but I still feel like they were mainly trying to play a subtle social game to get my buzzword.
I didn't lie to a single person about my word, and this is probably not an HOH I wanted to trouble myself with, but I do envy Jake's immunity in a game with so many diverse and new active people. Speaking of which, if I had lied to him, he might not be HOH right now. I have to hope he doesn't have an obsession with getting me out, because I proved in BB8 that I'm pretty damn hard to get rid of.
I've only had pretty straight to business messages with Red and Jay, but if there's one person that was trying to only converse with me out of buzzword obligation, it was Isaac. Terribly transparent, and I know they'll be a shifty player.
I almost thought Carleen wouldn't be allowed in, but another late joiner gives me a chance to socialize. I've also been meaning to reconnect with Jacob, and I don't know where I stand with him even though I considered him my strongest ally in BB8. Crystal is very mysterious, Taylor shares the distinction of being a former winner with me, and Amanda has always been polite when she's active. I kind of just want to throw Brad and Adam into the hot seat since I'm tired of "vs. Jake" theme that's persisted these past several years, and I wish Jake was just a singular player without his little hive drones.
Liam being from Scotland makes me think he might be a kindred member of my Irish heritage. I see friendships that could be built with a lot of these people, so having to vote someone in every week will be very morally taxing for me, if I even make it past this week.
