Jake has elected to use Power #2, meaning that he has saved someone this week, whose identity will remain unknown until the vote reveal.
You may now vote to nominate two different HouseGuests for eviction. As HOH, you can not vote for Jake since he has Immunity, but the HOH will always be allowed to make two nomination votes (unless he or she picks the four vote power).
Nominations are due in tomorrow night at 8PM Eastern time sharp. If I do not receive votes from you by then, you will receive one penalty nomination vote against you and a strike.
IMPORTANT: Please send a rationale with your nominations explaining why you voted for these two people as well.

Good evening HouseGuests, it is time for the first nomination ceremony.
Before I announce how the votes went, there are two things I have to say:
Willy and Amanda were the only two HouseGuests to not send in votes. They will each be given one penalty vote and one strike.
Also, Jake used Power #2, electing to save...
Brad. All votes against Brad will not count.
Liam and Red, you each received one vote. Willy and Amanda, you each received two penalty votes for not voting. You are all are safe for the week.
Adam and Brad (who is already immune), you each received 5 votes. You are both safe for the week.
Tying for the most amount of votes received with 9 votes received each, our two nominees for Week 1 are....
Brendan and Jacob.

The first Power of Veto competition will be held at 8PM Eastern time tomorrow (May 12) and will be live, so you must be here at 8 if you want to win.
Our competitors, aside from the HOH and the nominees, were chosen randomly by Joe using an online randomizer. They are:
1. Jake (HOH)
2. Brendan (nominated)
3. Jacob (nominated)
4. Isaac
5. Crystal
6. Amanda

10 person majority? Jake sure knows how to manipulate. It was only 9 people, Brett made a mistake. Still a majority, but not ten. To insult the intelligence of our fellow house guests is deplorable. To think that the only way they would ever vote to nominate you and Jacob was if they were manipulated is not only disrespectful, but a completely disgusting display of indecency. Jacob missed the first HOH for not doing something very simple and Im sure not everyone would like that. You on the other hand...What makes you so special? I've spoken to many people and told them that "I don't like Brendan too much because he's a heated rival", to put it in the most basic of terms. How is that manipulation? They can see we're the two most decorated people playing this season, but they couldnt come after me, so they went after you. You want to talk manipulation? You are the only one who would know that Brad and Adam are my biggest allies, and knowing I told you I was coming for you, of course you would go to four others to try and get them nominated instead. Now that is what I call manipulation. |

Just want everyone to know that if I stay, Jake's my sole target. I have no qualm with the rest of you. I know I didn't message you guys, and Jake got to you first because I've been so busy. It's fine, I like all of you a great deal and know it's the first week so you wanted an easy vote.
I didn't target Jake or his allies at all this year until he started in with his usual self righteous behavior. Let it be known that Jacob is also someone Jake has beef with. This is how Jake plays though, emotionally.
Hopefully whatever that insane rant up above was shows you his true colors. I know you're all capable of not being hitched to his wagon all season. I just know from experience that he can get his way with even rational people like our co-host Joe. He manipulated me last year and has the gall to say he "made no promises" when I saved him in exchange for him locking in a F3 with me. Which he went on to break....

I did not manipulate Brendan last year, at all. I would just like to point this out as the ultimate shut down to that.  Note, Brad went by the name Xavier in this season, and Adam went by the name Crulex. Every time Brendan was HOH, he nominated me or one of my partners, and went on to remove one of my partners (Joe) to backdoor a former winner of Big Brother named AJ. I made it clear throughout the game to pretty much everyone that my number one ally was Joe, and he and I would be going to the end of the game together, which we did...and Joe won. The final three was Brendan, Joe, and myself. Therefore, no F3 was broken, and Brendan's point is moot. So please, don't let his bitterness over once again being one of the first two people nominated for the season make you think any less of me. He got his time when he beat me in Big Brother 7, and now he is simply just looking for too much. Let him and Jacob wallow in their own disappointment! |

I don't mean to interrupt this lively conversation but I want to remind everyone that I will host the veto in the Backyard and it will be live so you must be there to win. I dont expect it to last more than 15-20 minutes but it will go on for as long as it does.

Jake I'm honestly not going to go in circles with you about how just because I wound up in the F3, doesn't mean you didn't take actions to get me out of the game.
I literally won the F5 POV against you by a hair. If I hadn't done that I'd have been 5th place.
You're like a shady car salesman trying to pretend he's Jesus.
Also something about Brett's chart feels off. I have to go back to the season and check that.
